Taste of Newport
Held annually in November, over 45 of Newport County’s best chefs and caterers join together to showcase their culinary expertise and share their delicious creations with over 500 guests. Taste of Newport is Child & Family’s largest fundraiser which features a sit down buffet with appetizers, entrees, desserts and specialty coffees. The event also includes a silent and live auction as well as a raffle. Contributions for the auctions and raffle are generously donated by local and regional businesses and organizations. The 25th Annual Taste of Newport will be held on Sunday, November 9, 2008 at the Hyatt Regency Newport on Goat Island. The evening begins at 5:30 p.m.
A Success by any Measure
How do you measure the success of a fundraiser – good will, dollars raised, attendance, in-kind
donations? By any measure, the 24th Annual “Taste of Newport” was a success – over 500 guests
enjoyed the event on November 11, 2007. Caterers, restaurants, bakers and chefs, all came through
for us, but perhaps the truest measure of the success of this long-running benefit is that
participants think of “Taste of Newport” as a community event – a chance to affirm shared values
about strengthening families and accepting responsibility for all our neighbors.
Our 24th year was a big success and your generosity is truly appreciated. Your support has helped
to ensure the continued success of this delicious fundraiser which touches the lives of hundreds and
allows us to continue our mission:

A Special Anniversary - 25 Years & Counting!
