Adopt-A-Home is a key component of the Child & Family Community Partners Program.  Through this program, Child & Family involves civic and fraternal organizations, small businesses and corporations in partnerships that represent the interests and needs of all those involved.

The Child & Family Adopt-A-Home program is a partnership dedicated to uniting the agency with businesses, civic and community organizations, and other community partners.  Adoptive organizations are encouraged to enhance the many residential program, which are located throughout Aquidneck Island.  A team of house managers, childcare workers and counselors use the homes to create a structured, accepting and nurturing home environment for as many as eight children or adolescents per home.  These children and teens have been placed with Child & Family for varying reasons, all of which have had a negative impact on their lives.  Child & Family works to create a safe and comfortable home environment, which is extremely important as these children and teens work to regain stability in their lives.

Purpose of the Program
The Child & Family Adopt-A-Home program seeks to build a relationship between a residential program and a business or community-based organization.  Through the donation of time, resources and friendship, ties between our residents and the community will develop and create a positive experience for everyone involved.  The program provides financial and in-kind resources, as well as activities that will create a more positive experience for residents of our homes.

Child & Family believes the Adopt-A-Home program is an ideal opportunity for corporations and businesses to become involved with the community in which they do business.  It is also an opportunity for civic and fraternal organizations to play a key role in the success of the communities their membership represents.

This is a terrific opportunity for businesses and organizations to connect with those who need their help most!
